It’s been said that your squash racket is like an extension of you arm, so you can see why it is so important to find the right squash racket that suits your style of play, or is it?

When you buy a squash racket for the first time you may not be thinking of the weight, balance, head size, strings and grip. But then again should you? As long as the racket looks and feels good, to you personally then the chances are that you will probably play well with it, for a while at least. However, as you improve all these factors may help you to decide which racket best suites your playing style.

It is that time of year again, the annual club competitions is due to start again. So please put your names down on the Noticeboard or email Alan Mann and he will add your name to the list of players. The main competition is the Jackson Cup, with the Handicap cup, which is a lot of fun. Also the increasingly popular doubles competition, if you haven’t got a partner and fancy giving it a go let us know and we will pair you up with another player.
